आफ्रिकेच्या वाळवंटातील वाळू युरोपवर पसरली? हे फोटो एकदा पाहायलाच हवेत.
काही दिवसांपूर्वी युरोपमधल्या काही शहरांचा रंग नारंगी झाला होता. प्रदूषण किंवा हवामानातील बदल याला कारणीभूत नव्हता, तर चक्क सहारा वाळवंटातील वाळू उडून या शहरांवर साचलेली. विश्वास नाही बसत? आम्हालाही विश्वास नव्हता. थोडी शोधाशोध केल्यावर जी माहिती हाती लागली ती तुमच्यासाठी आणली आहे.
हे काही पहिल्यांदाच घडलेलं नाही. प्रचंड हवेच्या झोतांनी नेहमीच आफ्रिकेच्या वाळवंटातली वाळू भूमध्य समुद्र ओलांडून युरोपभर पसरलेली आहे. अनेकदा ही वाळू अगदी इंग्लंड पर्यंत जाऊन पोचल्याचं पाहण्यात आलंय. नासाचं म्हणणं आहे की, ह्या वाळूमुळे कॅरेबियन भागात समुद्र किनारे तयार होतात आणि अमेझॉनच्या मातीला सुपीकता मिळते. तसेच ह्या वाळूमुळे अमेरिका खंडाच्या हवामानावरही परिणाम होतो.
काहीही म्हणा ही गोष्ट बघण्यासारखी असते. यंदा जे घडलं त्यात हवेचा जोर जास्त असल्याचं निदर्शनास आलं आहे. आफ्रिकेच्या वाळूमुळे फ्रान्स, स्वित्झर्लंडच्या शहरांत आकाशाचा रंग बदलला होता. एवढंच नाही तर बर्फाच्छादित पर्वतांचा रंगही पांढरा-नारंगी झाला होता. आम्ही सांगण्यापेक्षा तुम्हीच हे फोटो आणि व्हिडीओ पाहा ना.
